Polar Pen: A "Modular Pen Made from Magnets"

Photo from www.kickstater.com

Have you ever thought of having a magnetic pen that can serve as a toy? If you did, then this pen is for you. Polar pen is a modular pen which is made up of Neodymium magnets. It is composed of ring-shaped magnets which can be put together to form the body of the pen. It can also be used as a stylus thus allowing you to draw using a digital tablet. You can also disintegrate the magnets to create an alternative compass or simply turn it into a toy.
You can pledge for this project at www.kickstarter.com. If you really want more about this pen, you can visit their website or watch the video below.

Introducing James and Pink

Hello readers. After a long a very long time of not posting, I am posting another artwork I made. It is named "James and Pink". The black outline was manually drawn on paper. Later on, I took a photo of the sketch and placed in the colors using a photo-editing software (specifically Adobe Photoshop). I may later on post the exact steps on how I colored the sketch digitally. Below, you can see the raw version of the photo.

Pencil Trick [Better Resolution]

I was searching for my old stuff in the drawers until I found this old drawing. This is an anamorphic sketch of a pencil I did years ago*. I thought I already lost it, but fortunately it is still well kept together with my old  quiz papers.
I already took a photo of this drawing before. However, I took it using a webcam so the resolution is not so good. Taking the opportunity, I took these photos with a camera with better resolution. I hope you will like it. I will try to create more drawings if I have spare time.

Hi again. I am sorry for not posting for almost a month because I am currently studying at school.  Once again, I am posting another colored drawing. I decided to draw an apple, orange, and banana. I have drawn these fruits using colored pencils. I also did some shading for the background. Your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated.

3Doodler: The First 3D Printing Pen

Photo from: www.the3doodler.com/portfolio

If you are a doodler and you want to use something new aside from your paper and pencil, then 3Doodler might be the thing you are looking for. Why? It is because 3Doodler allows you to draw three-dimensional figures. 3Doodler is created by Peter Dilworth and Max Bogue, co-founders of Wobbleworks LLC. It is founded in 2011.
Using 3Doodler is like using a pencil, but this time you can draw above the paper, something your lead pencil can't do. Thus, it became the world's first 3D printing pen. The possibilities are endless. You can create ostriches, butterflies and even a replica of the Eiffel tower. The only limit is your imagination(and the ink, of course).
You can learn more about this great stuff in the video below. Click "here" to watch video on Youtube. You can also check their website on the link below the video. Don't forget to rate this post above.

Anamorphic Drawing of a Stick Man

Once again, I attempted to create another anamorphic drawing. This one is a stick man which is supposed to look like it is standing above the paper. I actually posted something similar to this before. It is named "Pencil Trick". You can check it by clicking the link.
I actually had a lot of tries doing a 3D looking sketch before I achieved this one. The trick is that you draw the stick man by stretching the upper parts more as compared to the lower parts. This way, you can create an illusion of the standing stick man if viewed on the right angle.

I have placed the top view of the drawing below in order to show how it really looks like.

I also took a photo of the anamorphic stick man with thick marker outlines. (taken from the angle that creates an illusion)

I will try to post a better anamorphic drawing if I have time. In the meantime, you can leave your comments and feedback about the stick man below.

Falling Slinky in Slow-Motion

How would a slinky fall down if you let it go after suspending it with your hand? Of course, it would fall down to the ground. But the question is How?

This video presents a slinky falling down in slow-mo. In the video, you can see that the slinky's bottom part doesn't fall to the ground immediately. Rather, it suspends in the air for a while. Amazing isn't it? You can also watch the video on Youtube by clicking "here".

By the way, I made some changes with the blog template for desktop view to make it look better. I also changed the color of the koi into blue koi*. You may try to feed them by clicking the white background. You can visit the "Feedback Page" if you want to talk about these changes.

Phonograph Records in Space

The Golden Record Cover
Have you ever wondered if someone from space, perhaps extraterrestrials, intercepted one of our space probes? Can we somehow leave a message in that space probe in case an extraterrestrial will intercept it (if they ever exist)? The answer is yes.

In fact, NASA already did it. They placed the message to both Voyager 1 and 2. The message is said to be carried by a phonograph record. The phonograph record is a 12-inch gold plated copper disk. It contains sounds and images that show the life on this planets. The contents of the record are carefully selected by a committee chaired by Carl Sagan of Cornell University.

As of this moment, Voyager 1 and 2, together with the record,  are already in space and are about to reach interstellar space.

You can read more about the golden record and Voyager 1 and 2 if you click the link below.

Thanks to SketchBook MobileX

This is my first sketch using my phone. I am still trying to learn how to draw with my fingers. For my first attempt, I drew a boy with an orange hair and red shirt above a blue background. Leave comments below.
