Bottles at its finest

Video from: www.youtube.com

After a long day of web surfing and all, I found this video. The video is about the so-called Solar Bottle Bulb. It is done by putting the purified water inside the water mixed with bleach. It is then attached into a galvanized iron sheet using a rubber sealant. It is very practical to use inside homes not reached by electricity. The bottle is promoted by isanglitrongliwanag.org, a lighting project of MyShelter Foundation in the Philippines. You can visit the website for more details. This is definitely a good to recycle those PET bottles.

You'll Surely Cry

Video from: www.youtube.com

The video above is a clip is taken from a 2007 Japanese movie based on a true story. It is a story of a family that was caught in the Niigata Earthquake in 2004. I didn't see the whole movie yet after watching this clip I consider it a good one. I consider this as a story of heroism and courage. I am not going to elaborate on the story so you are going to watch the whole thing. Just enjoy it guys.

New Additions: Blog site QR code

Hello there guys. You might be curious about the word QR. Quick Response Code(abbreviated as QR) is type of a bar code, similar with what you see in price tags. The only difference is on how it is read. QR codes are read in a matrix manner which is a bit complicated to explain here. So how do we use it? Just use a QR scanner. You can also scan the code below using a phone camera(usually a smart phone camera) with a QR reader application and internet connectivity. Actually, the image contains the coded link address of this blog. I also put the image permanently at the bottom-most part of the blog for future use. Try it!
Remember, this is only practical to use for mobile users.

Google's Very First Doodle

Photo from: www.google.com/logos
What you are seeing right now is true. As said above, it is the very first doodle ever. The doodle is thought to be released globally on August 30, 1998. It looks pretty old, just look at that font. This doodle is dedicated to the Burning Man festival. It is a week-long held annually in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. Honestly, it is my first time hearing about this one so I need to have some research work on it. If you like this one, just leave your feedback and I'll post more of this. Have fun.

Danbo: The Little Cardboard Boy

Photo from: thedesigninspiration.com
Just found this very nice photo of a fictional cardboard character named "Danbo". This cardboard sponsored by Amazon and is inspired by a manga character created by Azuma Kiyohiko. This photo is from a teenage photographer named Arielle Nadel's project entitled "365 Days of Danboard". Click her name to see all the wonderful photos. I hope you enjoy this one.

P.S I think I know what would be our very first weekly theme. :)

Pencil Trick

 Photo from: www.facebook.com^
Hello again. I've been trying on how the 3D street art really works. After all the experiments and a lot of practice, here it is. I call this the "Pencil Trick"*. The picture is not that clear as expected but I still got the illusion working at this angle. There are more of these on my online photo album. If you want to see more of these, just let me know.

*The artwork on the photo together with the other ones are mine and not from another artist/s.
^Photo album's link here. All artworks in the album are made by me.

Clockwise or not?

Photo from: www.123opticalillusions.com
At what direction is she spinning? Well, there are two answers to that question, clockwise and counterclockwise. Many of us see her spin in clockwise motion but that doesn't mean we can't see her move the other way. Try to look closely and you will see her move the other way. Still can't see it, try to look at the ******. I guess you also have to figure the hint yourself.

Even more of Edgar Mueller's

These street paintings are great I can't stop finding for more. I found a lot of these paintings but I only choose three. I consider these ones as my favorites at this point in time. Just take a look and see what made me decide to post them here.

Cool Street Art

Photo from: http://www.european-street-painting.com
I failed to post for the last few days because of a very busy week. I want to share this very cool street art from Taipei. This wonderful masterpiece is created by Edgar Mueller. It is my first time hearing his name but seeing this, I think I should more of his cool art.

The art works like an optical illusion. It looks weird when you look at it on top. However, if you see it in a certain angle you will see a good view of it. Here is the artwork's view from the top:

Innocent? Think again

Photo from: www.moillusions.com
It is not what you think, try to look again and see the picture one more time. You see it now? Not yet? You didn't see the dolphins, did you? At a first glance, most of us see this illustration as a couple doing something else. However, according to a research children do not see it like we do(I did see the couple first). Instead, they see nine silhouette dolphins inside the bottle. If you didn't still see up to this point, I suggest that you check it again. I do not know who created this nice illusion but I think it is worth to be in my blog.

At this point, I am still thinking about a good topic we can talk about. You can also do a share if you leave your suggestion for my very first weekly theme. Thanks for stopping by.

The Writing Ball

Photo from: wikipedia.com
Once again, I am here and this is my first ever post for the month of October. It has been months since I started writing here. After a moment of dome typing and some clicking on my computer, I came to this thing, The writing ball. It sounds weird hearing it for the first time.

According to one article*, this is the first commercially produced typewriter. The Writing ball was invented by Rasmus Malling-Hansen in 1865. What makes it so different with a typical typewriter is of course the pin cushion looking type pad. The letters and numbers are arranged in a way that it makes it easier for a person to type due to its ergonomic design. However, like all the typewriters in the 19th , it doesn't allow the paper to be seen as it pass through the device. Do you think this is nice, then leave a feedback below.
